Native Heart Center for the Arts offers regular dance classes in: Ballet, jazz, hip hop, African, Belly Dance, Vision Dance, Tap, Swing, Enhance Your Dance, Warrior Women, tumbling, dancing with props, preschool rhythm and motion, art dance, and special requests.
Native Heart Center houses the free adult dance program EMBRACE. Embrace is a free dance program designed for furthering the dance training of students that have graduated from high school and are trying to keep dance alive in their lives but are unable to afford studio classes in these tough economic times. It can include high school age dancers who are interested in furthering their dance training and would otherwise not be able to pay for classes or have dance available to them in their schools. It will build a body of dancers that will be available for special dance projects and performances.
D.E.C.O. is a new project in the works for Embrace. It is a Dance/Art Education Community Outreach program designed to reach the low socioeconomic youth in the rural Hill Country areas of Texas. D.E.C.O. classes include dance, prop construction, costume design, set design, and artistic expression.
